Privacy Policy

This page explains what information KRÓ Design collects when you visit this website, and how it's used.

The data controller responsible for this website is Kjartan Reynir Ólafsson, owner of KRÓ Design.

This website uses GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly analytics service that doesn't use cookies or collect personally identifiable information, to count visits and page views. For each page view it records the page, the referring site, browser, screen size and country, but never stores your IP address or anything else that identifies you. No advertising trackers are used. The contact form is also protected against spam using a hidden honeypot field and Netlify's built-in spam filtering; no Google services are involved.

If you use the contact form, your submission (name, email, and message) is processed and stored by our hosting and form provider, Netlify, Inc., solely to deliver your message to us. If you email us directly instead, we use your message and contact details only to respond to your inquiry or order. We do not use this information for any other purpose.

When you place an order we collect your name, email, phone number and address to process and ship it. This is shared with Dropp (delivery), Verifone (payment, your card details go only to them) and Resend (order confirmation emails), and stored with Netlify. The map of Dropp pickup points at checkout is displayed using Mapbox. We keep orders as long as Icelandic bookkeeping law requires. If a payment is never completed, the details are deleted automatically after 30 days, or at the latest after 60 days if we can't confirm with the payment provider that nothing was paid.

This website is hosted by Netlify, Inc., whose infrastructure is located primarily in the United States, meaning some data (including contact form submissions and standard technical information such as IP address and browser type) is transferred outside Iceland and the European Economic Area. This transfer is covered by Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in Netlify's own privacy policy. Learn more about how Netlify handles data
